Feedback

What suggestions do you have to improve ConnectCarolina? The feedback given here will be used to assist the Users Forum in prioritizing communication with ITS.

Faculty, staff, and students are now in the same forum (due to outrageous pricing demands by UserVoice). Our apologies, we’re working on a better solution.

How can we improve ConnectCarolina?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Student: Transcripts for the Registrar

ConnectCarolina needs to be improved on the side of administration because the registrars office is taking way too long to get transcripts validated and printed due to the new ConnectCarolina system. It's 2011. This should not be a problem.

    • Student: I would like it to be easier to find grades for the past semester.

Currently, when you go to the hard-to-find grades section, it defaults to the last semester you registered for classes, which, unless you're graduating, is not the last semester of your classes--which you're most likely looking for grades for.

        • Student: Add a printer-friendly link to Course History page

On the "My Course History" page, there should be a printer-friendly link to make it easier to print.

            • Student: We need an effective Grade Summary report

As a Program Officer who administers grants and fellowships for students, we relied on the StudentCentral grade summary to save students the cost to purchase transcripts. Now with ConnectCarolina students have to print a separate page for EVERY SINGLE semester they have been enrolled to provide the same data we used to get in the old system. I would think it would be really easy for the team to create a simple academic summary report that includes the titles and grades of all courses taken, the semester they were taken, AND the GPA/Hours Taken and other cumulative stats.

              • Student: Show all grades by program

Using Student Central it was easy to create an "unofficial transcript" for employers that only showed grades from one course of study.

In ConnectCarolina that is extremely difficult because a) getting to the screen that shows all your grades is difficult and b) the grades from multiple programs are interspersed.

I'm a jointly enrolled graduate student. Many employers only want to see my law school grades, but it's difficult to weed out the courses from my second program.

For people who do programs sequentially it is easier -- although still annoying -- to segregate out the courses. For example, I'm…

                • Student: Don't show zero-credit courses as in progress

Right now, on the "My Course History" page, all zero-credit courses, even those taken in the past, are listed as "In Progress".
